MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING

The Special Meeting of the Norwalk Housing Authority Board of Commissioners convened at 6:17pm April 29, 2025.

At 6:17pm Chair Penn-Williams opened the meeting. Chair Penn-Williams recognized Vice Chair Liza Bermúdez- Montgomery, Treasurer John Church, Commissioner Isaac Walcott, and Commissioner Teneshia Jacobs as present and acknowledged the presence of a quorum.

Mr. Bovilsky explained that the purpose of this meeting was to transfer the deed of certain Mutual Housing properties to Sound Communities using a quitclaim deed. The properties include 79 S. Main, Hanford Coop, 30 Chestnut Street and Arch Street. This process will enable Sound Communities to secure financing and move forward with developing Meadows Garden, while still allowing the Norwalk Housing Authority to retain independent oversight of the development and benefit from developer fees.

40-35 Commissioner Walcott moved to approve:

a. Quitclaim of certain Mutual Housing properties to Sound Communities

Treasurer Church seconded the motion.

Commissioner Jacobs moved to adjourn the meeting.
